Okay! More blow-by-blow of my trip so far!

I got a whole bunch of manga, this you know, but I've actually read some of it! GAHAH! My Report:

I. LOVE. Ranma 1/2. Goddess-chan, when are you going to get moooore...? T_T

I. LOVE. Thatz. ^_^ No contest! Sure, Rath's cool and dark towards Vol. 6, and Rune's a Bishojo... I mean! Bishonen... but Thatz is just... gah! Gotta love the scar!

Great Teacher Onizuka may be crass and ecchi, but he sure as heck has his moments... gah! Anyone who's going to a bookstore, read GTO! Eriiiicaaa... need GTO maaaangaaaa... ^_~ Heh heh.

I read volumes 1-4 of Kare Kano. Sure, I have all the DVDs leading up to that point, but it was still fun. The odd thing is, I think the anime is better than the manga... not sure why. It's weird.

I got the Anime Encyclopedia out of the library. Y'know those crazy people who've read an encyclopedia? Well... now you know yet another... ^_^;; I'm reading the entire Anime Encyclopedia. Some of the entries are quite amusing...

Yesterday I went to the Art Institute, where mom ranted about how her favorite restaurant was closed and how the place where we were eating sucked. Oh, that made for a pleasant atmosphere, no contest. I saw the Japanese exhibit like I always do, and I even got some postcards! ^___^ It's a tradition. Sammy was a pain as usual, especially towards the end of the trip when she couldn't stop sitting on the floor and wandered off. *rolls eyes* Gah, she was so annoying! But at the same time, I saw this sketch of the Canterbury pilgrims drawn by (our favorite guy) William Blake. It was pretty cool. I couldn't find a print of it for Mr. Crossley though... T_T Man!

Tonight I'm off to a Cubs' game. Don't watch the TV to see if you can spot me, I'll be in the SkyBox. ^___^ Heh heh.

I've got to finish Ceremony before I leave here! I'm counting on finishing the Scarlet Letter on the plane... >_< Gah! Until then!

Okay, so a lot of you know that I've always griped and groaned about the stupid dub names of *cough* Case Closed. Heck, I was the one who got addicted to the manga with THE ACTUAL NAMES IN IT.

You also know that I'm reading the Anime Encyclopedia. So, I said, "Hey, for fun, let's look up the entry for Conan. I'll bet it's a shining review!" Ha. Ha. Ha.

First of all, it wasn't listed under Meitantei Conan. So I looked under Detective Conan. No dice. I had to go to the index. Finally, I find it, listed under: Conan the Boy Detective and Famous Detective Conan. *gag* Meitantei Conan sounds so much better! Jeez, even Case Closed sounds better than Conan the Boy Detective! Gah! People, people!

Now, you may be wondering, "What does this have to do with a scary name?" Listen my children and you shall hear... (of the midnight ride of Paul Revere.)

I kept reading, because I was interested, y'know? It was, after all, a good review. I read about how this was actually dubbed before... in Spanish. I thought, "Woah. Okay, that's not bad." It got worse, and I quote:

"The series was dubbed in the U.S., but into Spanish, where the hero was renamed Bobby Jackson."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG!

BOBBY JACKSON?!! Hell, at least Jimmy SOUNDS like Shinichi.

I swear, I will NEVER complain about another dub name until I find out what someone else did to it...
